On Tuesday, November 8th, 2016, while voters across the country were taking part in an historic Presidential election, Oregon voters were making history of another kind: by a wide margin, they passed a citizen initiated ballot measure that, for the first time in the United States, provides state-level funding for outdoor education.

Save Outdoor School, Yes on 99, has a specific immediate need — and this one’s a lot of fun. The campaign is asking their supporters to rally around a social media blitz, Outside for Outdoor School, running Oct. 17-25.

This November, Measure 99 will give Oregon voters the opportunity to secure Outdoor School for All fifth or sixth graders statewide and create a lasting legacy for generations to come.
